I wanted to try a Dita Von Teese inspired hairdo,just to give it a try. lately I´ve been experimenting with my hair a lot more because here in Belgium it´s very expensive to go to a hair salon so youtube has been my best friend since I´m here/ Quería probar un peinadito tipo Diva Von Teese, sólo para probar ya que últimamente he estado experimentando con el pelo muchísimo más que antes porque acá en Bélgica es muy caro ir al salón de belleza así que youtube se ha convertido en mi mejor amigo. 

I followed this tutorial and although it says its a Marilyn tutorial, the result is more Ditaish to me. I liked the result but it´s not the kind of thing I´ll do on a daily basis because it takes a long time and second, the next day your hair will be all frizzy but it´s nice to give it a try. The video was made by Cherry Dollface and it´s very well explained and simple to follow. She has someother tutorials worth watching.../ seguí este tutorial y aun cuando dice que es un "Marilyn", el resultado para mi se parece más al pelo de Dita. Me gustó el resultado pero no es la clase de cosas que se puede hacer a diario porque toma mucha tiempo y segundo, al día siguiente el pelo queda todo lleno de frizz pero vale la pena intentarlo. I found these tweed pants in a vintage shop here in Leuven. They very warm and since I bought them during sales, it was super cheap./encontre estos pantalones en una tienda vintage aca en Lovaina y como los compre durante las rebajas me salieron muy baratos...ah y son bien calentitos.

we had a double farewell get together: Ana was leaving Leuven for good and Ashtgar went to Italy for a while. We went to la Vecchia Napoli, the only good pizza ive had here in Belgium./ tuvimos una despedida doble: Ana se iba definitivimante de Lovaina y Ahstgar se iba por un rato para Italia. Fuimos a la Vecchia Napoli, la unica pizza buena que me he comido en Belgica.

I couldn't come up with an original title for this post but here it goes. It was my first Victory Rolls attempt and even though it took me forever to get them done, I think they weren't that bad after all. This is what I wore to go to my cousins' birthday party.

No se me ocurrio nada mejor para ponerle el titulo a este post, asi que aqui va. Este fue mi primer intento de Victory Rolls y aun cuando me tomo la vida hacermelos, creo que no quedaron tan mal despues de todo. Esto fue lo que use para ir la fiesta de cumpleanios de mis primitas.

My bday this year was nothing special, I had no phone and it was very difficult for my friends to reach...I spent most of the day working and by the time I got home I was all tired. But the day before I went out and I had the chance to wear my new headpiece that I bought in Dublin. People kept asking me - as a joke- if I had attended the Royal Wedding (same day).

Mi cumpleaños este año no fue nada especial, no tenia telefono y fue muy dificil para mis amigos poderme contactar...pase casi todo el dia trabajando y para cuando logre llegar a Cabimas a casa de mi madre estaba ya toda cansada. Pero el dia antes tuve la oportunidad de ponerme mi nueva pieza que compre en el viaje a Dublin. La gente me preguntaba si habia ido a la Boda Real (fue el mismo dia) jeje

I LOVE LUCY AND BETTY!

Inspirada por un día de pelo rebelde, decidí usar mis rulos naturales y hacerme un peinado que se parece al famoso poodle de Lucille Ball o a uno de los estilos que Betty Grable inmortalizo.

Soy bastante novata en lo que a peluquería se refiere, pero decidí intentarlo. Para ser mi primera vez quedo bien y una comanera del curso de hecho me dijo que entre el peinado y las perlas me veia glamorousa jeje.

Inspired by a bad hair day, I decided to sport my natural curls and get a hairdo that ended up being a lot like Lucille Ball's poodle-do or to one of the hair styles that the great Betty Grabe inmortalized.

I'm very rookie when it comes to doing my own vintage hairdos, bt I decided to give it a shot and actually, considering the fact that it was my first time it wasn't that bad. In fact, one of my classmates complemented me by saying that I looked very glamorous with the hairdo and the pearls....hehe
